Unusual ways to Earn Money

But the ways you mentioned is not unusual. There are many ways that are quite weird. There is site where you will rent a friend. I think that is very absurd and very unlikely.
I know the sites. You can also rent a girfriend to get the girlfriend experience. But i hear these sites are making a killing because there are a lot of lonely people who actually pay for the services.

A few years back typing in a paid to post forum might seem strange but right now it's very common. Like you said, it cannot actually replace a full time job but it's a great way to make extra source of income.

I once read that there was a man in Japan who offered to be a live chat friend on the internet, of course this man must have good speaking skills, be knowledgeable, and have a good face. and I also heard that he got customers and so he could make money.

There are set ups that accept old clothes and refurbish them and sell them as good as new Both those who sell their used clothes and the set ups make money
Yes, it's very popular in the US and some western countries. Thrift stores are very popular there. In India, we used to have practice of exchanging old clothes for new vessels. I remember my mom and grandma doing that. They will weigh the clothes and deduct some money from the price. Also, if it was good clothes in good condition, you could get a good utensils or vessels for free. That's an indirect way of earning money.

We have done that back home but here where I live I hardly see anyone wanting old clothes in exchange for vessels. Everything is changing these days

I don't see those practices continuing any more even in the remote villages. At least we don't see much of it, might be very few still doing that. I recently watched a documentary on some news channel that talked by hair smuggling to China. They showed that people in rural areas of India are cutting hair and giving it to some vendors who either pay cash or some goods like utensils or bedsheets etc. that is also an unusual way of earning money, at least I was not aware of it.

There are people who do blood donation for money. This is not illegal and is infact a noble job. Those who do it only for a noble cause don't charge money, but some would combine the good deed with money making. The real issue arises when people start violating the rules and donate more than what is safe for money sake. They are either needy, or greed and addiction drives them to do this kind of thing to risk their lives and health for money.
