The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicts an active typhoon season. PAGASA expects up to three typhoons to strike the country this month, with a similar number expected in the coming months. An additional typhoon is predicted for November and December. Glaiza Escullar, a weather specialist at PAGASA, claimed that the current weather condition is neutral, indicating that there are no notable weather phenomena. However, the advent of La Niña is expected from August to October, which may affect weather patterns. Furthermore, another weather expert at PAGASA, Obet Badrina, has stated that the typhoons are expected to go over the Bicol region and areas in Northern Luzon.
