According to the report, the US Army has handed Salesforce a major contract to help modernize how it uses data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. It is valued at valued up to $5.6 billion over 10 years. The deal will support the army’s efforts to better manage information, integrate data systems, and apply AI-enabled tools to planning and operations.
The report stated that under the agreement, Salesforce platforms will be rolled out across the army and the wider Department of Defense to simplify internal processes and improve support for warfighters, civilian personnel, and industry partners. The contract is being executed through Salesforce subsidiary Computable Insights LLC and delivered through Mission Force National Security.
Kendall Collins, CEO of Mission force and Government Cloud said that from recruiting to the tactical edge, Salesforce is equipping their forces with technology built for today’s dynamic environments, streamlining operations, increasing readiness, and enabling those who serve to stay focused on the mission.
The report added that the also brings real-time analytics into command workflows, aiming to speed up decisions while reducing administrative drag across personnel management, case resolution, and training delivery.
Additionally, Alan Webber, Program Vice President for National Security, Defense, and Intelligence said that the Army and Department of War’s move to a unified IDIQ with Salesforce marks a shift from buying software to orchestrating outcomes at scale.
