According to the report, with new institutional funding, ARCYN Defense is pushing forward the development of a next-gen air defense system powered by edge AI and capable of striking with speed and accuracy.
The report stated that formerly Marteos Industries, the US-based company, is building an early prototype leveraging kinetic technologies and advanced sensing to enhance operational effectiveness.
The report said that it is intended to be a low-cost, high-precision solution for the US military, built to deliver reliable performance at scale.
The report added that the company has formed an advisory board to guide prototype development, with senior officials from the US Army, Air Force, Space Command, and former NASA astronauts. Poynton will lead the management team, alongside Lou Schiliro, Head of Operations, and Dr. Fazel Farahmand, Chief Technology Officer.
In addition, ARCYN Defense is focused on redefining the economics of modern defense. The company stated, noting that it is delivering systems designed for speed, adaptability, and scale in contested environments where low-cost, proliferated threats are reshaping the character of warfare.
