According to the report, the US has suspended all immigration requests from Afghans following the shooting of two National Guard soldiers near the White House.

The report stated that the US Citizenship and Immigration Services said the decision was made after a review of “security and vetting protocols”.The soldiers were patrolling near Farragut Square Metro Station on Wednesday afternoon when the attack occurred.

In addition, the soldiers, who are in critical condition, have been named as Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe by authorities. The suspect was identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national.

That killer must be killed right away. He should not be given a chance to breathe. Hoping those police officers in critical condition will survive.🙏

The suspension of these visa programs usually points to a failure in the biometric or background-check protocols that are supposed to filter for "known wolf" actors. Legally, the fallout of these attacks often triggers litigation under statutes like JASTA, where victims can go after the financiers of the terror cells.
