The move by Venezuela to free some political prisoners is getting all sorts of reactions. What stands out to me is this could look like they're opening up a bit, but it's not a huge step. To me, it seems like these actions are more about fixing their image abroad than fixing things at home. It's funny because some folks are cheering, but others don't trust what's behind it all. What matters most is making sure everyone is truly free and their rights are respected. So, yeah, this seems like a good thing, but it's not nearly enough to say things are really changing politically.
