Have you noticed Villains are now mostly portrayed as misunderstood or good? Let's take maleficent from the popular sleeping beauty, maleficent is the evil witch who placed a curse on Aurora, she now has a movie where she is actually good but the evil of man made her evil, then at the end of the movie she became good again. Another example is the wicked witch from Oz, she now also have her movie tittled wicked where she is actually the good one, and there are so many other stories like this.
