According to the re[ort, the incoming US President Donald Trump’s roster of top foreign policy officials is starting to take shape. Trump has announced Elise Stefanik as his pick for the high-profile role of US ambassador to the United Nations.

The report said that John Ratcliffe, a former director of national intelligence under Trump, is likely to head the CIA under Trump 2.0. The former US army veteran and Fox News broadcaster Pete Hegseth is set to be the next defence secretary.

The report stated that the president-elect is also on the verge of appointing his top diplomat, the secretary of state, reports say. Reports suggested Trump would tap Marco Rubio and Michael Waltz as secretary of state and White House national security adviser, respectively. Trump also nominated his regular golf partner, real estate tycoon Steven Witkoff, to be a special envoy to the Middle East.

Trump also announced that he would nominate former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the next US ambassador to Israel. The incoming administration’s staffing has already led to a surge in speculation over what these selections may mean for Trump’s second-term foreign policy.
