Was Never Beaten But..." US Citizen Travis Timmerman Found In Damascus After 7 Months In Syria Jail

According to the report, days after Assad’s fall, a missing US citizen was found wandering the streets outside the Syrian capital of Damascus barefoot. The man was identified later as Travis Pete Timmerman, last seen in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, in late May.

The report said that he appears to be among the thousands of people released from Syria’s notorious prisons after the overthrow of Assad regime.

The report also said that Timmerman was initially mistaken by some for Austin Tice, an American journalist who went missing in Syria 12 years ago. Turkish state news agency Anadolu said he had been released from the notorious Sednaya prison.

The re[rt added that Timmerman admitted in an interview with Al Arabiya, an Arabic news channel that he was treated well in detention but could hear other young men being tortured.

He was lucky he was treated well by the terrorists. I am wondering why he was given a special care and attention.

Travis was indeed lucky for being released from prison alive. He also did not expect that he would survive that ordeal as a prisoner, he was also thankful , he was not tortured in his prison cell.
