According to the report, a voice note of ousted Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, describing how she fled the country in August 2024, has been posted on social media by her party Awami League.

The report said that the 77-year-old leader can be heard praising God for saving her life and said that she and her sister "escaped death by just 20-25 minutes" on August 5, 2024, when a mob of protesters stormed her Dhaka residence.

The report added that Hasina also accused her political opponents of conspiring to get her killed.
