True, the buy one get one strategy is not intended for a long time, but only temporarily or during promotions at certain moments, the aim of this strategy is also usually to finish off old stock that has not been sold.
 
You would see someone that usually buys one and frequently comes around to buy another pack as much as it would sustain him or her for three months. That period of absence, certain factors might play in as make you lose him or her as a customer.
 
Customers are attracted to the word free. Even when it is something they can easily afford, they would rather have it free and be very excited about it than to buy it.
