What are the Disadvantages of using a PC?

Just like laptops, personal computers come with its own advantages and disadvantages. In terms of disadvantages, you can't bring your PC with you everywhere you go. It is not portable unlike laptops. Moreover, they are quite hard to maintain and you will experience some compatibility issues in terms of software, etc. And the components of a PC get outmoded rapidly.
 
I dislike using pc because of software compatibility issues and viruses.
 
The disadvantage of pc is that spending all those money on a pc that will be outdated in a few years, and some software and games that come out after few year will not work on your pc that you purchased with a huge money, and the other things is that you can't run the pc if there is no power.
 
Hackers are hacking the pc/desktop of some internet users, misusing the computer to commit illegal activities and falsely blaming the person who owns the computer for the crimes the hackers commit. Innocent people are falsely called criminals.

A PC from 2015 will be very slow and you flash frequently and many new applications no longer work so if you purchase a PC in 2023 be sure that 2034 will be like a PC from 2015 in 2023. So you need every while purchase a new one.

You are right, Kirubel. The components of the PC will get outdated later on. And you are right about power. Using a PC in an area wherein brownouts are common is not a good idea.

Yes, you are right. It is not portable and in case of a power interruption, you can't use your PC, especially if you do not have a back-up power.

We sold ours many years ago to save space. I miss using the PC at times, though.

Yes, it can be very slow, especially if you do not upgrade its components.

The one disadvantage of laptop is that is not handy and flexible. I can work on the go with my phone. Pc is bucky and cumbersome especially to lazy people like me. I like to be free from any entanglement thereby i use only my phone.
 
The major disadvantages of using a PC is that it is not mobile. For does who their jobs requires them to travel a lot, using a PC will definitely limit them.
