Bluetooth is one of the very first ways of transferring files from one device to another. Most smartphones and PCs have Bluetooth connectivity.

What are the likely limitations in using Bluetooth to transfer files between devices?

Bluetooth is useful for quick, small transfers, but it has quite a few limitations. The biggest one for me is speed, it’s painfully slow when you try to send large files. Range is another issue since you have to keep devices fairly close, and any interference can interrupt the connection. I’ve also noticed that transfers can fail easily if one device locks or switches apps. On top of that, compatibility between different devices or Bluetooth versions can be frustrating. Overall, it works best for small files, not regular or heavy file sharing.
