What are the main disadvantages of investing in stocks?

Most people that had their capital being wiped away because of poor performances of the company's stocks that had invested in really don't advise others to do stock investment. What is your take about that?

Very less information is available about most of the listed companies, so it becomes very difficult to predict whether the company will remain profitable.

I never see any way disadvantage investing in stock because from what I know I believe once you buy stock there is a greater opportunity which you stand a chance to make profit, aside from saying it's a long term investment

The main disadvantage of investing in stocks is capital loss, which can be caused by many factors, such as price fluctuations, liquidation risk, suspension, and delisting. Stocks are a high-risk investment and therefore not suitable for everyone.
