What are the perks in owning a bar/ drinking parlor?

Bars and drinking parlours are popular businesses in our cities. They are profitable businesses no doubt. But beyond the profits, are there any special perks in owning a bar as a business? What extra benefits can be derived from running a bar beyond just profits?

I don't really think there are any extra benefits though, the major benefits is just making profits and probably getting a few connections.

I think people that have standard bars get to network and build relationships with some celebrities and politicians.

That you get free drinks lol ok, no. I guess one of the most obvious advantages is that you'll meet a lot of people, within that type of people you can make contacts and expand your network, the other obvious thing also and returning to the topic of drinks is that you'll have contacts with wholesalers who will give you prices for drinks, so you'll always buy drinks at a cheaper price than the average person.
