Humans are emotional beings. And some humans can't help expressing emotions in every aspect of their lives, including business and work.

Some people say that emotions should not have any place in business. So, what are the possible emotional attachment that a business person can have that might hinder business growth?

It might be a long time supplier that does not offer value at the level of the business any longer and the business owner is already attached to that supplier. That would not help the business go forward.
You are absolutely right. Long-term resources are considered part of the company family, but if their value declines and they no longer contribute to the company's growth, the owners' attachment to them becomes a liability rather than an asset. If a company continues to hold resources that cannot appreciate in value, it will miss opportunities for development and effective competition. The market needs talented and dynamic partners, so giving up such resources may be emotionally difficult, but it is crucial for the company's sustainable development and future. The bottom line of loyalty must be balanced with the actual performance.

Yeah right, one keep on using a supplier that supplies inferior goods and sometimes not on time too

That‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is correct because if a company decides to keep a supplier that delivers products of low quality and late deliveries, things eventually will not work out. Customers deserve to receive good quality and in a timely manner, otherwise, businesses will be greatly affected. I have witnessed people losing their trust very quickly due to their supply chain being unstable. It is like trying to build a house on sand instead of on rock. If it is not changed, things will crumble. Loyalty is nice but enduring bad service is not worth the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌trouble.
