What are the requirements needed for a PC to be used as a LAN server?

Most business organizations have LAN that connects the computers in the organization to interact. Such a LAN network would surely need a server. What are the requirements that a PC should have to be a server for such a network in terms of specifications?

There are no special requirements/specifications for a PC to be used as a LAN server, but the server computer must be high so that it can be connected to other equipment or you can also connect to other LANs or Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN). But you need to install a workstation on the server computer system, links, etc.

A LAN server should have a multi core processor to start with and at least 16 GB of RAM to handle being a server.
