I have been making money online as a writer for over a decade. Here are a couple of things I do to make money as a writer.
I am selling my writing services. In the past, I sold on freelancing sites like Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer, but these days I am selling independently.
I run a couple of blogs and my blogs are monetized through ads, sponsored content, and affiliate ads.
I also publish ebooks and paperbacks on platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
I offer ghostwriting services for clients.

Before, I used to work as a blogger. That was my first-ever job. I am not good at it but I still gave it a try. It opened wonderful opportunities for me.

I work on paid to post forums, but I've started diversifying to grow a blog I own. I also consider starting a freelancing career through cold calling since most people complain of the difficulty of getting started on freelancing sites.

I do write articles for different people but can't do it now as my laptop is bad and this has restricted my earnings somehow

If you guys are writing articles, where do you post your articles, or where do you find clients for your articles?

You can find clients on freelancing sites but if you are good you would get people being referred to you

I do not get any paid writing work, I only update the websites and blogs, and hope that some advertising will be sold on the blogs and websites if they are updated regularly .

Yes, they are. But the problem is getting accepted. I have over 15 years of writing experience, I have even contributed for local newspaper but my works are rejected by major platforms
