What do you prefer between using solar and generators as power back up?

I think that the usage of the generators is pretty cheap compared to the solar panels. Solar panels are very expensive here in my country.

I think solar energy is more cheap in a long run. The cost of fueling generator is not a small expense. In two or three months, the cost of buying gasoline will be enough to buy enough solar panel and battery put together.
