What do you think about a business that files a disputes against shop lifters?

Like what image would a business portray to the community when they start handling cases in courts about customers that misbehave in the shopping malls for instance the shoplifters?

A business filing a dispute against a shoplifter is a reasonable and not bad because of the financial losses caused by theft. It's a way for the business to protect its assets to recover some of the cost.

I don't really see anything wrong with this, it shows that the business does not take nonsense in anyway.

The fact of the matter remains that a business must have a valid proof that actually supports their case. If they have enough evidence, then they may file for a case. However, I am quite sure that many businesses just do not do that. They choose to just ignore shoplifters.

It is right thing to do and the business management should not feel guilty of any sort because they are trying to preserve their business.

Yes it is not a bad thing at all . one just have to wake up to protect it's business to avoid getting ones business into a bad state
