What do you think about love oath?

Love oath taking is about two lovers swearing with or without any object to remain with one another for life. Do you fancy this kind of thing in your relationship? Do you think it is necessary? Does it signify total commitment by both parties?

I would never take a love oath, and to be honest love oaths doss not actually guarantee that both partners would be completely loyal or even committed.
