What does the law say about property of a customer that has been forgotten in my business place for six months?

A customer forgets something in your business place and has not come back t claim it even after six months.

What does the law say about disposal of such a property? When am I legally allowed to dispose such property of a customer?

If a customer forgets their property in your shop and you have documentation of trying to reach them, you can dispose the item.
