What expectation should a maid be expected to do

Some community members feel a maid should handle basic cleaning sweeping, mopping, dishes, bathrooms, and laundry they believe tasks should be clearly listed to avoid misunderstandings. Nothing extra unless it was agreed from the start. Is it compulsory to add more work to your maid ?
