What happened? An underperforming staff was sacked. But becomes a genius in another organization.

A guy that I know was sacked from his job at a bank. The reason for his sack was that he was under performing. Now, he has a job with another bank and he is a genius in that new bank. He just received award for regional staff of the year.

Where did the puzzle go all wrong? What could possibly have changed in the new bank he worked for?

It could be that the new place has a better working environment, hence making it easier for the staff to low easier.

We just can't definitely call this. It could be that the team in the new place is accommodating or he the staff has worked on himself and improved so badly.

Different reasons like tappinh into intrinsic motivation, which can supercharge the person performance. Immediate rewards accorded as they link activities and goals

It might just be the working environment that has brought out the best out the said staff that he is performing well.

There may be different reasons. The new company the guy is working for may provide him/her with a better job which can make good use of his/her skills. Or may be s(he) is more motivated and has a manager which can give him the right guidance.
