People might be acting out of a version of love they have seen in movies or on TV without understanding what it truly means to them. Imitation love often stems from a fear of being truly vulnerable. People might be afraid to show their real selves, so they hide behind a façade.

There is also a lack of understanding or caring about the other person’s feelings. It is more about what the relationship can do for them, rather than a mutual exchange of love and support. In the first place, there is nothing like love. Love is simply a codified self interest. Love only exists when the other party have some features which the other party find appealing. If there is love, why should rich people looks for people in the same level to marry.
