What is that thing that you didn't do for the sake of saving some money on?

For me when l was in the high school, l wouldn't pay for the tuition money during the school holidays and read on my own for the sake of saving cash to start life with when l complete my four years course at school.

During high school, I decided not to pay tuition during school breaks and instead used that time to read independently. This allowed me to save money to prepare for and begin my life after completing four years of school.

When I was studying at high school or college, I seldom buy books. I usually just borrow them from the library. That saves me a lot of money.
