I mostly make use of a USB cable for a faster transfer, or I use the normal Bluetooth transfer. Though using a Bluetooth is slower for larger files.
I have never used a USB cable for transferring phones from any phone to a computer in the last few years. I will try this option for my phones and revert.

For me l think that the Bluetooth is more flexible and the best option for me for that matter.
It is easier done with a USB cable marked for data transfer. And it is very fast too for files transfer of large sizes.
