What is the difference between a USB flash drive and an external hard disk?

The main difference between a USB stick and an external hard drive is the storage capacity and the technology used. So USB sticks are ideal for storing and transporting small files, while external hard drives are more suitable for storing large amounts of data or backups. The choice must be made according to your needs, I believe in this case there is no right or wrong choice.

When it comes to extra storage for our PCs, the USB flash drive and external hard drives are very popular. What is the main difference between the two expanded storage devices? Which one would you prefer?
It depends on the storage capacity of either the USB or external hard drive.

They basically have the same function as both are for storage, the major difference between the two is that the USB is usually smaller in size and cheaper.
