I have seen so many small businesses have a lawyer that is adjudged as their business lawyer. I don't know if the lawyer would be placed on payroll.

But I thought company lawyers are for big companies. Does a small business need a company lawyer? Of what use is a company lawyer to a small business?

A business lawyer can be very beneficial to a business organisation. He can review contracts before they are signed to see that it favours the business. And he must not be placed on normal payroll. Just a specified royalty within an agreed period is enough.

I think a lawyer is beneficial on businesses weather big or small it will be nice to have one you might not need them all the time tho but when you do they save you a lot of problems and money.

OK, there are two types of lawyers in companies, namely corporate lawyers and in-house lawyers, corporate lawyers are free and independent lawyers whose names we often read in offices, while in-house lawyers are workers in a company, their roles are almost the same, such as drafting legal documents. , business establishment licenses, creating acquisition or merger documents, copyright etc.

So many organisations have corporate lawyers. It is not a thing that an organisation would have legal matters everyday to need an in-house lawyer.

@King Belieal. Large companies generally have in-house lawyers or as employees of the company, who get a salary every month and sometimes they also hire corporate lawyers to deal with big cases in court, but for small companies we only need to hire a corporate lawyer or business lawyer for business matters. our business.

In the case of multinational or in any way big sized industries, one or more lawyers are needed to solve trials and other legal issues are used to appear in such large companies. Not the same in the case of medium and small sized businesses (usually, they don't get involved in trials): an accountant's services are usually enough.

I don't have one yet, but a business lawyer plays a very important role in the business. They normally take care of every legal aspect of the business.

It is important to have a lawyer for businesses. The lawyer may review the contracts before they are signed; provide advice when your business get into trouble with your suppliers, customers or need them to sue a lender. You do not need to have in-house lawyer. Just hire their service when you need them. Most of them charge on hourly basis.
