For me l would switch off the security lights at dawn's and use of the energy saving light bulbs to save the energy and money in correspondence. I would moreover skip some meals to save some money too.
I would try to reduce use of water during shower, switch off lights when I leave the room. But I will not skip meals because I need to have a well-balanced diet to maintain health.
