When you put money into something like stocks, mutual funds, or even small side projects, what do you usually look for?

Do you like things that can grow quickly over time? Do you prefer something that feels more stable and gives small returns regularly? Or, do you look for things that seem low in price now but might be worth more later?

I am a conservative investor and aim to make long term investment. I buy blue chip dividend paying stocks. Although the stock price of such kind of stocks may not rise to a large extent short term, but I am happy receiving regular dividend payment.
