What makes you choose a particular app over similar apps that serve the same purpose?

Imagine that you are looking for a pdf reader on any app store, you would find so many that you would be spoilt for choices.

What is that thing that would make you to choose a particular app when three are other apps that can do the same primary utility?

It is primarily the reviews of the app by other users that have installed the app that makes me choose the app.
