My recommendation would be based on what I feel they can do or what I think they have passion for even if it's a little passion.
What about if their passion is something that is no longer marketable or it's being saturated on the market. I think the online businesses is currently in crisis
A friend of mine sells clothes and accessories imported from Japan and Korea online. Sales are good.

Clothing is very good niche. Try selling to gen Z, they like to purchase a lot. Sell the designs that appeal to this generation

She can sell online. When I used to sell items online, I focused on clothing and bags. I think this is still a profitable venture today because many online stores are successfully selling the same products and making substantial profits.
The one that seems to be selling mostly here is the electronics and more especially the laptops, smart phones, portable speakers among other electronics.
You can sell digital products since it's an online business. Look around for digital products that would work for your target audience
