Yes, it is actually based on a true story. I have watched it on three separate occasions, and each time I do, it never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

I saw this movie twice and the first time I watched it with my sister I didn't cry because it would have been weird and I held back but when I watched it alone I couldn't hold back the tears
I can’t actually recall the movie I watched that made me cry tho it has really been long since I experienced that crying and feeling pity from watching a movie lol it sounds crazy but emotional.
