When do you turn on auto rotation on your smartphone?

For sure l only turn on that setting on my phone when watching videos and browsing the web like reading news articles and something of the sought.
Very true, i have set the app i use in watching movie to auto rotate, so whenever i put a movie, automatically it goes into landscape.

i don't turn on my auto rotate cause am mostly moving around, I don't want to have to straighten my phone everytime before using it.
That's a great way to make life easier! When you're on the go, it's wise to keep your phone in a quiet mode to avoid the hassle of constantly turning it on.

Most of us prefer to use our phones in a way that works best for us. Turning off auto-rotate is an example of self-awareness and choosing what's best for your daily environment.

The important thing is to use technology in a way that makes you more productive and comfortable. If that makes you more free and focused, then go for it.

Most smartphones have auto rotation feature. That makes the phone to rotate when it is being turned to any direction. Most people keep this feature off. When do you turn on Auto Rotation of your smartphone?
Automatic rotation, I believe, is present in every smartphone that is represented by this symbol:

It's especially useful for watching videos by rotating the device horizontally, but something it can also be inconvenient because just a slight movement can cause the display to rotate 90 degrees without our consent. Moreover this feature also slightly increases battery power consumption, which is why it's sometimes disabled.

It's true that turning your device horizontally really helps you watch videos better. It provides a wider perspective and a better viewing experience.

But sometimes, the sudden change in orientation can be annoying, especially when you're using your device for other activities. It also increases battery consumption a bit.

Indeed, what bothers me most about this function is precisely the sudden unwanted change of orientation.
