When you were a child, were you ever trusted to plan Christmas, or any other holiday?

When I was younger, I wouldn't say that my parents placed a lot of faith in me, but when they fell ill, I had to get the house ready for a church holiday since we had to host visitors. They were stuck with no other option, so I doubt they were overjoyed. Being 13 at the time, I believe it worked out well for me.

I never had a chance to take charge of celebrations, as my mom or aunts always led them. During Christmas and New Year, we used to gather at my grandmother's house to celebrate with them. I have many fond memories of those times.

In my home, when I was a child, my parents also trusted me a lot because whenever they asked me for something, like buying bread, I always came back with the correct change, among other things that required a certain level of responsibility. I always proved myself to be right.
