There are also other apps stores besides Google app store, Amazon also has an app store, I heard you can also sell on eBay.

Apart from Google play store and Apple store, i don't think there is any other platform that is doing extremely well in tense of sales. Though, you have other sites like wordpress plugins, chrome apps, Mozilla firefox plugins etc
