Which departments in a business organization are not likely to face clients?

A typical organized business organization has many departments. There are some departments that actually have to deal directly with customers and clients while some departments work in the background. Which departments in a business are not likely to face clients?

True. The IT department always work in the background. Customer service are even the ones that help customers configure their devices.

I might be wrong though but I think that Human Resources department doesn't have any need to face clients.

For me l can say that the human resource department of the business organizations deals with the staffs and the entire business administration only. It does not deal with customers nor clients.

The backend production team always have very minimal interaction with the customers. That is for products based businesses that are structured.

Sometimes, human resources department might have to face client in situations where customers want to report a staff to them.

I don't think so this department deals mostly with recruitment and workers welfare. Dealing with clients situation is mostly with customer care service
