I believe that a lot of us have made some financial mistakes that we turn back and wish we did better. Financial education wasn't something that everyone was privileged to have. Which financial mistake did you make in your journey to stabilize finances? How did you correct it?

I believe one of my financial mistakes was not saving and investing early. I wish I had saved and invested sooner to make my life quite easier.
This is always the issue a lot of people suffer from. A lot of people hardly save or invest early in their lives

For me l actually bought a piece of land without the right documents related to the land ownership matters.Whereby after sometime thegenuine owner for the land emerged and convicted me out of the place
That's a terrible mistake. You shouldn't make such mistake considering that land is very expensive to acquire. You really lost money, I guess.

One financial mistake that I made was not to start investing from the very beginning of our job and earnings. My husband and I were more into saving for our first house and car. Wish we could have starred investing from the very start. Our money would have grown much.

One financial mistake i made was starting late. My life revolved around going to work and accepting to work with the little that i earned instead of opening up to more ideas.

My financial mistake was allowing my ex-bf to borrow money from me without paying me until now that he was married in Australia .He borrowed $1,500 for his unknown to me business. That was too bad to even recall.
That is a huge amount. I am sorry about that.
We always wish that our younger self was smarter and more cautious. But then some wisdom comes with age and experience. No amount of advice and preaching helps at times.

Paying too much for financial services. Splurging with your tax refund. as well.

I wish that we could know ways of maximizing our tax refund earlier. We ( husband and I) found about things that could save us tax and maximize our tax refund much later. And we are still learning new things each year. We wish we could have done it earlier. We would have saved a considerable amount of money through tax refund. So, take some time and explore about it. It's going to be worth spending time to learn these things.

For years, I didn't have any form of savings. I just kept earning money. That really has affected my financial standing today.
Yeah not differentiating Between Wants and Needs: Not tracking Income and Expenses and borrowing with high Interest rates
