Which kinds of ad campaigns focus strictly on identity, and not sales?

Every ad campaign is supposed to have what it aims to achieve. Most Ad campaigns always primarily focus on sales. But I just learned today that there are some ad campaigns that the major focus is on "identity".

Which ad campaign do you know that would focus on identity and not sales?

Ads that try to sell you a version of yourself that you didn't know existed are ads that sell identity. And they can bring massive sales.
