I want to go into programming but i find it difficult to know where and how to start. After long consultation and research i discovered that python is more flexible and beginner's friendly. According to one one programmer, i should start with the python's basics like variables, data types, loops, functions etc.

Learn the language that you can easily get the most help with. Check with your friends what language they know and can help you with it, see if they know someone who knows something and is willing to teach or at least help with questions. Check your library for what books they might have. See if there are courses held near you. See what is available close to you, what they are using.

I learnt Apple Basic first because it was the only language I could learn, I got an Apple //c as my first computer, though that is not what I wanted, it was awesome. It also came with loads of books on Apple Basic, from Apple.
