The qualifications for operating a trucking service vary depending on the location. However, there are common requirements and qualifications to apply. A trucking business needs the appropriate incenses and permits to operate legally, varying considerably by location. These often include business registration, operating authority, and potentially specific permits for carrying certain types of cargo that might be hazardous, for example.

You need to buy a policy, a comprehensive insurance coverage, and it is mandatory for a business like this carrying hazardous materials, for example, and or including liability insurance to protect against accidents and damages. The amount of coverage required often depends on the type and size of the operation.

The drivers are required to submit their medical certificates, and you must do a background check to verify their driving records and to check for any criminal history that might pose a safety risk. The drivers must also undergo training and experience before they are hired to drive trucks. It is also essential to consult the specific regulatory bodies in your location, for example, the Department of Transportation to determine the precise legal requirements for operating a trucking service to avoid penalties, suspension, or revocation of licenses and permits.

There are certain licenses the driver and the driving company needs to have. I have never thought about this line of business though.
Some big time capitalists here operate trucking services. This is a profitable business. Those who need trucks to load things like gravel, stones, sand building materials, migration hire trucks to load and unload their tons of things

Yes i have heard about how profitable these business is, one could make a good amount of money for just renting it out for a single day.

Yes and the rent is per load not per day. I hired a truck before to deliver gravel and sand and I was charged to pay per load. It's a good business if properly managed.
