Why are institutions buying bitcoin?

We have heard of several corporate institutions aggressively buying bitcoin. Micro Strategy is one that d such institutions and it doesn't look like it wants to relent. Other institutions too are also buying. Of what purpose does it serve for institutions to buy bitcoin?

I think those institutions are buying bitcoin as a financial investment like every other person that buys bitcoin.

Because they do not want to be left out of the race for that cryptocurrency, and then sell it to retail investors at a higher price or to protect themselves from inflation.

Institutions are buying huge amounts of bitcoin because they believe in its value as an asset. And most of those institutions profit greatly from buying bitcoin.
