I have realized that organic foods sell at a very high price. They are almost double the price of the same foods that are non-organic.

What are the reasons behind organic foods selling at such high prices? What is really special about organic foods?

I would imagine the main reason would be simple supply and demand. The demand is higher than the supply, so the price point is higher.

The costs going into to making food organic are higher than the norm as well. From a more expensive certification process to more acreage needed for livestock and/or plants, it's more expensive to make organic foods.

Organic foods are harder to produce. And organic foods also have a high demand which drives up the price.

Some is just about the sellers . They are trying to milked some buyers this can caused the problem
Organic foods don't use fertilisers or any synthetic boosters. That's why they always take more time to be produced and more expensive too.
