Spreading rumors about someone is normal and should be expected. If people are not gossiping about you, it simply means you are not relevant. It is the duty of the person to keep his head high and don't pay attention to the rumors.

As a single woman such rumours or talks would not bother me as I know that it is my life and I have the right to my savings.
