These days even with small business, you still need to do certain research at least to know who your target audience are and how to attract them.
You might be right but in my small business there's no need to do research everything is programmed by the franchisor. Others might do research to find out the possible findings and recommendations.
Oh in your case it's understandable, but for a small business starting on their own, not under a franchise, they will have to make some research.
They could do it through a face-to-face interview or direct inquiry, rather than formulating statements of the problems and finding some variable unless they are knowledgeable.
