Why would people think that a person has mon when the person is actually struggling financially?

There are people that are thought to be very rich by others. These people might be actually struggling financially but others think they are doing well financially.

Why do people wrongly presume someone to be financially okay when they are not? What causes that presumption?

Just maybe the person is living a lifestyle that would suggest to people that he or she has money. Wearing expensive clothes and all those kinds of lifestyles.
