According to the report, Russia claimed its air defences intercepted eight US-supplied ATACMS missiles fired by Ukraine at the Belgorod region, pledging retaliation for the attack.
The report said that the Russian Defence Ministry also reported downing 10 Ukrainian drones over its territory, leading to temporary flight disruptions at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport.
Separately, Ukraine allegedly assassinated Russian General Sergei Melnikov in a drone ambush in December. Meanwhile, Russia demanded UNESCO condemn the killing of Izvestia journalist Alexander Martemyanov in a drone strike in Donetsk.
On the digital front, Ukrainian hackers targeted RegionTransService, paralyzing the Russian transport service's operations.
Russia going from "victory to victory" for almost 3 years now and still no end in sight. Must be frustrating for the dictator. Perhaps that's why he likes to attack civilian targets to vent. There are so many important people died because of the ruthless war. Putin does not have feelings of remorse or decision to end the war. Its been three years now and his people are getting fewer by the day . Because of this, there will be reckless retaliations.
