On Sunday, July 14, at SW19, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain defeated Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in straight sets to retain his Wimbledon men's singles championship.
Alcaraz, the third seed, defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon final to win his first championship in 2023.
Alcaraz's victory made him the fourth player in Open Era history to win four grand slams prior to turning 21. Prior to winning the Championships the following year, he had won the US Open in 2022. He also won earlier in the year at the French Open 2024.
