A Wisconsin highway was littered with beer bottles after a large semi-trailer crashed. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said the truck left the roadway on northbound US Highway 151 at about 12:15 a.m., hit an embankment and overturned. The crash blocked both northbound lanes and scattered beer bottles onto the road.
A spokesman for the brewery said the truck was carrying 264 half-barrels that were being shipped to distributors.
The road was closed for several hours between the State Highway 26 entrance and exit as crews worked to clear the wreckage and collect the bottles, which are now being returned to the brewery.
The unique incident turned an ordinary road into a beer warehouse for several hours.
